I fell in LOVE with the first 3 books of this Series, so it was no surprise to me that the last 3 books would be any different....I absolutely LOVE the storyline, Cora, her BFF Lisette and even Dorian. I don't like to give away any spoilers because not only do I want people to read the books for themselves but I also want the author to benefit by these books being purchased. I have the utmost respect for ALL authors that can write a book that keeps the reader SO memorized by the story that they can't put it down. I admire an author even more when they're able to create a Series like this one by V. M. Black that allows the reader the excitement in knowing that there is more books to come. I'm an avid reader and I definitely prefer to read about Vampires, Werewolves and anything Paranormal and I can honestly say that this is a GREAT Series and one that you will NOT be disappointed in reading!!! I can't wait to start the next book in the Series, Cora's Bond For All Time.

Rites of Blood Cora Choice Vampire Series Bundle 46 Cora Choice Bundle Series Book 2 edition by V M Black Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Again I liked Dairon's character, strong, loving and quiet. Now Cora is a spoiled brat, whoa is me, he is a monster I could never be with him. It just seems like the same ol' drama. However, I still enjoyed the series. Yet, I thought it was overpriced. In addition, I was disappointed to find the story did not end at the conclusion, and there was another book series about the same characters.
I can't wait to read cora's bond series!
I read cora's choice 1-5 in 3 days and just finished 6. So addicting. I LOVE stories where characters can't decide on a moral dilemma or choice, think they know what they want, then are shown new perspectives on "right and wrong/ good and bad". JUICY BOOKS!!! I love how black slowly reveals Dorians truest emotions and motives, layer by layer, through different events and circumstances!
Enjoyed the series all at one time. I don't like serials for the most part. I need a longer story but since this was purchased all at once I was able to read the whole story all at once and enjoy it.
The romance between Dorian and Cora was different than what I'm used to reading. I only gave it 4 stars because I felt there was too much discussion. That could have been left out. I found myself skimming over it.
It was worth my time though so I'm glad I finished it.
As their journey together continues, we learn more about vampire history and how the "good" fraction of vampires are trying to save and coexist with humans. Cora continues to struggle with her decision as to whether to return to her human life or if she could even exist without Dorian. Is it really love, or is it being forced upon her?
As with all reads, there are some good things about this series and some bad things.

I'll start with the good. Black has fantastic writing skills and you can see it in the imagery of these stories. Everything Cora goes through, you feel as though you are right there with her. As with the first three in the series, I found it very difficult to set this down once I started reading. The main characters have rich backgrounds making them come alive on the page and I congratulate Black for being able to do that.

On to the bad. The first is preference. These stories were way too short. I, personally, would have preferred one or two long stories to these 100 page shorts that were written. I don't feel that going forward with the new series, that finishing the story is worth the money spent. The main characters, while rich and vibrant, are awful. In the first series, I can at least understand where Cora is coming from, but this set, she still has no choices and basically her choice is to decide if she wants freedom or to be a slave for the rest of her life. Dorian is completely controlling and refuses to see things from her point of view. That Cora would conveniently forget how much she wanted to be away every time they touched made her seem like she was suffering Stockholm Syndrome. Also, I thought the way she shifts from angry victim in the first set to willing slave (basically) by the end of this set after hearing from Cosimo was rather hokey.

All in all, these books were okay. The characters will come alive for you if you can get past how awful they are as people, and if you don't mind spending this much money to read for a single afternoon.
This story might have been great if the heroine wasn't so flawed. She was a self-centered, immature person who was dealt a death blow by her terminal illness. One would think that she would be more compassionate due to her circumstances, but no. She only sees things from her perspective which the author spells out for the reader, showing the reader how self-centered and weak she truly is. If you are looking for a vampire read with a strong heroine, this is not the one for you. It is a frustrating read.
Alright, so I am kind of frustrated. I like the characters... But I hate novellas. I wish the author would have just put out three regular sized books rather than 9 mini books, it just feels like you're trying to nickle and dime us. The concept is unique, I like it. But I am not overly excited about the weird love triangle thing. I'm just ready for some loose ends to tie up! The series just keeps going! Give me a little closure!
