48 Hours 'Til Christmas Miracle Circle Book 2 edition by Stephany Tullis Literature Fiction eBooks

A quick, fun read with a message about pulling together, even after discord. About the struggle to become better people, even after we've let others down. And about finding the true spirit of Christmas. It's not just a Christmas story, though. The grinches in our lives are out there all year round. So the struggle to find, and hold onto, that special joy found at Christmas time is always worth the challenge. Like her previous book, The Master's Plan, this story provides a heartfelt look at all the behind the scenes wrangling that goes on in groups trying to plan events and foster community. Flawed, but endearing characters are everywhere--some of them textbook examples of the kind of characters I've encountered in my own community service experiences. Such a hopeful story it'll make you believe all that effort is worthwhile.

48 Hours 'Til Christmas Miracle Circle Book 2 edition by Stephany Tullis Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I didn’t think I was ready for Christmas yet, but this delightful story put me in the holiday mood. It’s an amazing tale of a small town in turmoil. Somehow, the community unites and finds their Christmas spirit. The characters were so real, and by the end I was emotionally invested in the outcome. A recommended read.
There are times I dread the approach of Christmas - the running around - the frantic search for gifts - but after reading 48 HOURS TIL CHRISTMAS I remember how special and joyful Christmas can and should be. A nice story, heartfelt, bring out the decorations and hot spiced wine - we all have something to be thankful for.
I loved this book. It is such a well written little book about the Christmas spirit. This book allows the reader to feel as if they are in the town with everyone as they try to work together to save the towns Christmas celebration. The characters are well developed and described in such a way that I felt as if I closed my eyes, I could see them standing before me. What a great read!!
Author Stephany Tullis has written a lovely story just in time for Christmas. In this tale of a small town at odds with one another, she moves us from problems to solutions. The Mayor, Luke Evans, wants to throw a Christmas extravaganza to rival if not beat the ones in larger cities. In order to achieve this ambitious plan, he asks for help from the local minister, Reverend Woody Jones.

The Reverend offers advice to the Mayor, “Luke, have you ever really wanted something…badly? So badly that your thinking became befuddled? So befuddled that you dropkicked your common sense?”

Once Luke understands this advice things begin to fall into place. If you’re not in the Christmas spirit before reading this charming book, you will be when you finish it.
Just read this based upon all the 5-star reviews. Sorry to say, it was not for me. There were so many characters hopping in and out of chapters, each speaking their own slangy dialect with too many inside-type jokes or references. The theme was lovely. People can set aside their differences and work together for a common goal. Too many extraneous problems stood in the way however. Also the whole thing could use a serious sit-down with a good editor. Moving on.
I have read two of Stephany Tullis’ novels, and just made my way to 48 Hours ‘Til Christmas. A wonderful holiday read to suggest to friends or gift via ebook in Christmas stockings this year. It is comforting to get to know an author through their work, and this third read simply reconfirms that Ms. Tullis produces exemplary stories replete with incomparable characters.

The Masters Plan is set in Smoothville, GA, so readers go back once again to see what Reverend Woodrow Jones is dealing with this go-round. Seems although Luke Evans was elected mayor, it might’ve been due to shifty actions, and as the mayor plans an extravagant Christmas celebration, those determined to undermine his event jump into action.

This is where Rev. Woody comes into play with a rescue strategy that will incorporate citizens and hopefully turn animosity back to goodwill. Is it possible to repair damaged friendships, shattered trust, and reunite a town divided?

48 Hours ‘Til Christmas will put you into a true spirit of giving and remind everyone that forgiveness and humility are good for the soul.
The mayoral election leads to a win for Luke Evans. He did not get into office, however without using some underhanded methods. The city of Smoothesville is not united and bad feelings are in the air, in the run up to Christmas. Here in lies the problem.

This is a unique tale, uplifting, just in time for my Christmas mood to set in. I really enjoyed Ms Tullis' characters, their interactions and the way in which this story evolved.

I loved the easy writing style and the storytelling was wonderful. This is a Christmas tale but it is also a story of people who attempt to come together at a time of the year when love and not conflict should reign.
Well done. A great read.
