I enjoyed in a make believe sort of way.
You go through so many pages of them not getting along to "Bam!" Everything is OK and they live happily ever after.
It needed something in between the 2 extremes.
All in all was a pleasant read.

Not as cute as usual.
it was a nice book, sometimes I felt the scenes could have been worked out a little more, but then I like books with 500 pages
Good romance for those interested in British aristocracy and/or ghosts.
If you've ever toured an historic house and wondered about the people who live there and what it must be like to take care of such a place then this book is for you. I love the peak behind the curtains! The ghost is a wonderful addition. I'd love Victoria to write a follow-up so we can learn more about Carys and Richard and see if there dreams for Amberley Court are realized.
I love all of Victoria Connelly's books, and this is no exception! I can't wait to be able to read the other books in this magical series.
This is just one of many books I'm now reading from Victoria Connelly and loving every one. Each book has it's own charming story and keeps me entertained for hours.
I wish I had a friend even though a ghost, like Georgiana....such a delight to have around especially in the huge and sometimes dull rooms of the big historical home. Loved the story and could imagine myself walking the dogs through the miles and miles of the gardens. The main character Carys had more patience than I would have had with the new husband though...his head would have been reeling had I been his bride! Old Aunt Violet was a pleasant surprise in the story....all in all a thoroughly enjoyable light story to read.
